Memorandum of Establishment

An Academic Space Shaping the Future and Advancing Knowledge Justice

The College of International Justice (CI Justice) represents a pioneering academic and institutional space founded on the firm conviction that rigorous knowledge is the cornerstone of human progress, and that justice is the universal language that unites nations and stabilises societies. We deeply believe that building a more cooperative and peaceful future begins with empowering the individual academically and ethically. Through an integrated ecosystem of accredited higher education, original scientific research, and cross-border knowledge exchange, the College—under the leadership of its President, Prof. Dr. Hani Gerges—strives to prepare academic and professional elites capable of navigating profound global transformations and actively shaping a more just, stable, and prosperous international landscape.

Stage One: Foundation and Core Establishment (2013)

The foundational nucleus of the institution was established on 29 October 2013, when official approval was granted to proclaim its establishment under the name "Orontes University" (Al-Assi University). Academic and administrative operations commenced through the historic convening of the Founding Assembly, which brought together 38 university professors across diverse disciplines alongside a distinguished group of supporting partners and institutional experts.

This inaugural assembly was the culmination of an intensive series of preparatory meetings that established the institution's solid foundations, formulated its academic bylaws, and unanimously ratified all articles of its constitution to ensure the sustainability of its educational mission.

Stage Two: Strategic Transformation and Global Launch (2023)

In response to the demands of continuous evolution and in alignment with an expansive vision for the international business environment, the institution undertook a major strategic milestone on 24 June 2023. With the full endorsement of the Founding Assembly and the Board of Trustees, the institutional identity was elevated and renamed the "College of International Justice" (CI Justice).

This renewed global launch was consummated in the United Kingdom, where the College's new identity and official accreditation were recorded with the UK Government under Company Registration Number (CRN: 14959102) and listed on the UK Register of Learning Providers (UKRLP: 10093951)—ushering in a new era of international academic leadership built upon a rich foundational heritage.

Stage Three: Academic Leadership and Institutional Governance

Today, the College of International Justice continues its institutional journey under the presidency of Prof. Dr. Hani Gerges and the stewardship of eminent scholars on its Board of Trustees and Board of Directors, delivering a flexible credit-hour educational model powered by state-of-the-art digital learning technologies for scholars and researchers worldwide.
